About Fanflower Preservations
I'm Julie Watts, also known online as "Fanflower." As recent empty-nesters, my husband and I are trying to find our niche for the next phase of our lives together. As in many marriages, one of our common interests has always been family. I've been researching and preserving Family History for my various family lines since I was a little girl. After marriage and children, my efforts extended to my husband's ancestry, too. Genealogical research and preservation creates a sense of family connection. It's also fun and rewarding! In our efforts, We've met and are now collaborating with many people from our family trees — some close in relationship and location, and some quite distant. Our experience demonstrates the potential of using the Internet to discover, document, preserve and share family history. We now want to help others begin or continue their own family history discovery and preservation adventure. We can help with many things including research, record collection and documentation, digital restoration and preservation of documents and photographs, etc. While the most effective way to help is to "teach you to fish" so that you can participate first hand in the family history community, we will also "fish" for you if that is your preference.
